Interviewed by

Thomas Balbier

According to the police, the burglary into the Manching Celtic and Roman Museum lasted only nine minutes, during which previously unknown perpetrators stole 483 gold coins on Tuesday night. It was the largest Celtic gold find of the 20th century. The spectacular case is in line with the museum burglaries in Berlin in 2017 and Dresden in 2019, in which criminals also targeted valuable exhibits.
