For 49 euros a month all over Germany by bus and train: Since May 1, this has been possible with the Deutschlandticket, the unofficial successor to the best-selling 9-euro ticket from summer 2022.
Contrary to what the name of the ticket suggests, users can not only travel in Germany, the ticket is also valid across borders in many places. Excursions to the Netherlands, Poland or Switzerland are possible without paying extra.
Travel abroad with the Deutschlandticket
But be careful: As always, the Deutschlandticket is only valid on international routes on regional trains – ICEs, Intercity or the Flixtrain may not be used with the bus and train flat rate.
