The Netflix film “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” also has a special love story in store. It’s that of main character Benoit Blanc and Philip, their marriage has now been officially confirmed.

A scene in the Netflix film “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” caused a lot of discussion among the fans: Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig, five-time James Bond) gets a visit to his apartment.

But it is not he himself who opens it, but a certain Philip. A man! He wears a pink apron and holds a mason jar in his hands. Not a random visitor, it’s the house man who does the kitchen work. Hugh Grant in a typical Hugh Grant scene. He seems a bit defensive and a little taken aback as he sticks his head out the door and asks, “Can I help?”

Now Grant confirmed in an interview with the US site “Collider” exactly what the fans have suspected so far. Benoit Blanc is gay, more so, Grant admits: “It’s true, I’m married to James Bond.” It’s only a short scene, but it reveals very intimate details of the investigator’s private life.

There had already been speculation about homosexuality at the press conference for the film’s release, as reported by “GQ”. Daniel Craig said, “No spoilers, but who wouldn’t want to live with this person?”

Grant also tells Collider why he was willing to take on the role: “It’s a tiny little moment. I don’t really know why they wanted to do it, but I thought ‘Knives Out 1’ was brilliant, and there I thought, why not? I’ll show up for a few hours…” By hours he seems to mean his time on set, as the scene is only a few seconds long.

For Hugh Grant, this isn’t the first role he’s played a gay man. Already at the beginning of his career he embodied the noble Clive Durham in “Maurice” at the age of 27. He falls in love with a fellow student while he is studying.

And Daniel Craig also seems to have been dealing with the subject for some time: just last year he said in the podcast “SiriusXM” (star reported): “I’ve been going to gay bars for as long as I can remember, and one of the reasons is that I don’t get into fights in gay bars that often.” When he was single, he even went there to meet girls.

The actor wants to continue to deal with the subject in the future: In the film “Queer” he is supposed to portray a man who is struggling with odd jobs and is unhappily in love with an ex-soldier, as reported by “n-tv” among other things.
