His ally Matteo Salvini, leader of the League (anti-migrants), obtained 8.8% of the vote, while Forza Italia (right) of former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi obtained 8.1% of the vote in the House low, according to figures from the Ministry of the Interior. The centrist Azione alliance won 7.8% of the vote and will hold 21 seats in the Chamber of Deputies and nine seats in the Senate. The remaining seats go to the smaller parties.
