Germering: overtaken, caused an accident and fled – Fürstenfeldbruck

The Germeringer police are looking for a white pickup truck. Its driver is said to have ruthlessly overtaken on the B2 near Germering on Sunday, causing an accident and simply fleeing.

Late on Sunday, a 22-year-old from Fürstenfeldbruck and an 81-year-old pensioner from Munich were heading towards the Autobahn. At the level of the long left-hand bend near Neugermering, the two white vans, which were just overtaking, came towards them in their lane. This sheared back into its lane to the right just in front of the two vehicles that the young woman initiated an emergency stop and the pensioner driving behind her swerved to the right to avoid a collision.

The Munich driver left the road, causing considerable damage to the front and underbody of his vehicle. The amount of damage is estimated at 5000 euros. The vehicle had to be towed. Luckily nobody was injured.

The still unknown cause of the accident is being investigated for endangering road traffic. The Germering police are asking for information on 089/8941570.
