Never change a winning team: As expected, Germany’s national coach Julian Nagelsmann is sending the same eleven onto the pitch for the third European Championship match against Switzerland as he did in the first two group matches. These men are supposed to fix it.

Group victory and the best possible third success – that is Julian Nagelsmann’s clear target before the end of the European Championship preliminary round of the German national football team on Sunday (9 p.m./ARD/Magenta TV or in the star-Ticker) in Frankfurt against Switzerland. “You play a game to win it. You gain more self-confidence the more games you win in a row,” said the national coach before the duel with the Swiss. This is also why the 36-year-old is relying on the same starting eleven again, despite the impending yellow card suspensions for a defensive quartet.

Germany vs Switzerland – the line-up for the European Championship match

Around 75 minutes before kick-off, the DFB announced the official team line-up for the match in Frankfurt, this is it:

At the same time, the other match in Group A is taking place: Scotland against Hungary in Stuttgart.

For the national players, however, it is not just about first place in Group A of the European Championship, which is psychologically important for the knockout phase. For the first time since winning the Confederations Cup in 2017, the DFB professionals could pocket a tournament bonus. The first installment is 50,000 euros for winning the group. The same amount as seven years ago for winning the tournament at the World Cup dress rehearsal in Russia. There is still nothing for second place in the group, which would be certain even if they lost to Switzerland.
