Geri Horner mourns her brother Max Halliwell. The 54-year-old is said to have died according to British media reports.

Geri Horner (49) allegedly lost her brother Max Halliwell. According to British media reports, the 54-year-old collapsed at home last week and was taken to a hospital in Watford, where he later died.

A source allegedly close to the singer declared according to “The Sun”: “This is the most terrible, devastating and heartbreaking news and Geri is completely broken by it.” The family rallies, “but they hardly know what to say or think right now – they loved him very much”.

Geri Horner, who became world famous through the Spice Girls, is said to have been very close to her brother. Max Halliwell also appeared on a show about his sister in 2010. In “Life Stories” with Piers Morgan (56), he said, according to media reports, that the singer was a “daddy child”: “Maybe because of the attention my father paid to her regarding her potential.” He also explained that the two siblings suffered a lot after the death of their father Laurence in 1993. He died of a heart attack.

Max Halliwell, who allegedly worked for a technology company, is also believed to have helped his sister escape the UK when chaos broke out around her after her sudden departure from the Spice Girls in 1998.
