Genoa-X and Bergamo SKU lists surfaced

An extensive leak about AMD’s upcoming products for the Epyc product portfolio is currently making the rounds. If you can believe this, Genoa has up to 96 cores with 192 threads, while the first Bergamo representatives are said to offer up to 128 cores and 256 threads.

Alleged SKU lists for AMD’s upcoming server and cloud computing solutions in the CPU area are currently making the rounds. An official presentation of “Genoa”, “Genoa-X” and “Bergamo”, the code names of the product series, is still a long time coming. So there seems to be a more or less big foretaste of the upcoming CPUs.

Genoa makes up the vast majority of products in the leaked listing shared via Twitter by user YuuKi_AnS. Bergamo is represented with only two options, which are probably based on Zen 4 and not Zen 4c. More precisely, however, it is the Epyc CPUs with the most cores and threads.

The spearhead is the Epyc 9754. This combines 128 cores and 256 threads via 8 Compute Complex Dies (CCD) on its package along with 256 MiByte of cache at a clock rate of 2.05 to 2.15 GHz (base) or 3.1 up to 3.2 GHz (boost). The TDP is given as 360 watts, while the cTDP is given as 320 to 400 watts.

At Genoa, 96 cores and 192 threads, distributed over 12 compute chiplets, form the maximum in the form of the Epyc 9654. In return, there is more cache at 384 MiByte, while the maximum clock rate of 3.5 to 3.7 GHz is higher.

The Epyc 9684X can be found in the overview as the Genoa X counterpart, although there is no further information apart from the socket, cores, product name and TDP. Genoa-X are variants with an additional 3D V-Cache. According to the report (via Videocardz.com) turn out to be more than significant. However, if you want to benefit from this, you have to be patient for a few more months. Genoa-X will not officially go on sale until 2023.
