Generalized breakdown at OVHcloud, affecting access to many websites

Bad year for OVHcloud. After the fire of a data center in Strasbourg in March, which had repercussions on the Internet throughout Europe, the company has experienced a general blackout on Wednesday since 9:30 am.

A new blow for the start-up specializing in Internet hosting and cloud technology, which plans to go public this week. Proof that the incident is not trivial, Octave Klaba, the founder and president of OVHcloud, himself communicated on the reasons for the outage.

In a tweet, he attributed the failure to “human error”, and indicated that it concerned the “backbone”, that is to say the telecommunications network that connects all the infrastructures of OVHCloud.

Consequence of the general blackout: many sites are inaccessible this morning. Some affected companies prefer to laugh about it. But not sure that the incident amused everyone.
