Ludwig Petersen still remembers well how, a few weeks ago, he found an invitation to a Slack workspace of Forbes magazine in his email inbox. Shortly thereafter came the notification that the 23-year-old entrepreneur, together with his school friend Paul Bäumler, had made it onto this year’s Forbes “30 under 30” list. What did he do this morning? “Called my co-founder and celebrated a bit,” he says on the phone. The two grew up in Gauting and developed the volunteering app “Letsact” there four years ago, which brings volunteers together with institutions that are looking for volunteer supporters. Petersen and Bäumler are currently commuting between Munich and Berlin.
