Garching: Rudi Naisar resigns from the city council – district of Munich

There is a change in the Garching city council. Rudolf Naisar is retiring from the committee and Sara Hoffmann-Cumani is taking his place in the SPD parliamentary group. The qualified real estate specialist Naisar first became a member of what was then the municipal council in 1984 and has been active as a local politician ever since. During his active time, he witnessed how Garching was elevated to the status of a city, which today is primarily known as a university location thanks to the research campus of the Technical University of Munich.

From 2002 to 2008, Naisar headed the SPD parliamentary group in Garching. The Hochbrücker was and still is involved in a variety of ways in the village, for example as chairman of the Hochbrück volunteer fire brigade, on the board of the Garching-Hochbrück tenant protection association and as chairman of the Garching history development association. For years, Naisar has also been the city’s bicycle officer for safe traffic management. According to his own statements, the 69-year-old now wants to have more time for his family, especially his grandchildren.

The communication designer and communication trainer Sara Hoffmann-Cumani is well known in Garching. The social democrat is involved, among other things, in the “Lebendiges Garching” association, for integration and successful coexistence, and in the family groups of the Bund Naturschutz and Alpenverein. Together with her husband Claudio Cumani, who heads the integration advisory board, Hoffmann-Cumani was awarded the Garching Volunteer Award in 2019.
