Gabby Petito was strangled while on a road trip with her boyfriend. The suspect has disappeared without a trace for weeks. Now the police have found something on the Carlton reservation in the US state of Florida.
Investigators have allegedly found human remains while searching for the friend of the killed Gabby Petito. In addition, objects belonging to the 23-year-old were discovered, said FBI investigator Michael McPherson on Wednesday afternoon (local time). These things were found in the Carlton Reservation in the US state of Florida in an area that was until recently under water. “I know you have a lot of questions, but we don’t have answers to everything,” said McPherson.
The 22-year-old Gabby Petito had not returned from a trip through the United States with her boyfriend in the summer. The case is attracting attention both in the US and internationally – not least because the Florida couple shared numerous pictures and videos from their trip on social networks. After an intensive search, Petito’s body was finally found in September in the state of Wyoming. According to the coroner, the young woman was strangled.
Returned from trip without Gabby Petito
Petito’s friend had returned alone from the trip with Petito in September. Shortly afterwards he also disappeared without a trace.
