Viviana Muñoz Schmieder raises two beaver children in Fürstenfeldbruck. The pups have to stay with her for two years before they can be released into the wild – and the relationship is not always easy. About an unusual flat share.

Butzi peeks out of his little hut. Then he comes out and sticks his little nose through the grating that surrounds the enclosure. He moves purposefully towards a bowl of vegetables. Butzi gets a piece of sweet potato, which he particularly likes. The little beaver takes the piece between his two front paws and nibbles on it extensively, then he takes a normal potato, later a piece of tomato.
