The sum is astronomical. A single French player on Friday won the EuroMillions jackpot in an amount exceeding 162 million euros and thus became the fifth biggest winner in France, announced the Française des Jeux.
Thanks to the combination of 1, 20, 41, 42, 50 stars 3 and 7, this player will pocket exactly 162,289,050 euros. The winner has 60 days to come forward.
The record breaking record on October 15
Details on the locality in which the winning grid was validated will be disclosed once payment of the prize has been made.
The previous EuroMillions winning draw dates back to October 15, when 220 million was won in Tahiti by a young Polynesian who was playing for the first time. It was the biggest jackpot in the history of the European lottery since its inception in 2004.
