Freilassing: The perpetrator attacks the 94-year-old and flees with his car – Bavaria

An unknown attacked a 94-year-old in Freilassing (Berchtesgadener Land district) on Saturday morning and fled across the border to Austria in his car. According to police, the victim was injured in the attack and required hospital treatment. The perpetrator had violently snatched the car keys from the man just as he was about to lock his parked Mercedes.

The police then initiated a large-scale manhunt with several patrols and support from the federal police, but could not catch the suspect. Looking for a man in his thirties with a three-day beard and of medium build. He was wearing a black hooded jacket and a black cap.

“According to reliable information, the perpetrator drove the stolen Mercedes over the Saalach Bridge to Salzburg on Austrian territory after the crime,” informs the police and asks for evidence from the Traunstein criminal police.
