Freezing food: How long do vegetables and meat keep in the freezer?

Watch the video: Freezing meat, vegetables and fruit – how long does food keep in the freezer?

Leftovers or locally harvested fruit, if you don’t eat it all – freeze it. But how long do the different foods last and what temperature produces the best results?
The perfect temperature in the freezer for storage is -18 degrees Celsius.
In order for the food to last as long as possible and lose as little quality as possible, the following steps should be observed:
1: Freeze fresh food so that less quality is lost 2: Fill airtight and watertight into small containers 3: Only use packaging suitable for frost 4: Allow warm food to cool down to room temperature before freezing 5: Do not place frozen food on top of food that is already frozen so that it freezes evenly
If you follow the steps above, the following foods should “survive” in the freezer for that long.
Cooked and baked goods keep for one to three months. Sausage and dairy products one to six months.
