Franconia: SEK arrests rioters – Bavaria

A man threatened an innkeeper with a pistol in the Middle Franconian district of Ansbach and rioted in his restaurant. Officials from the special operations command (SEK) arrested the man after the incident in Wassertrüdingen on Saturday night. A police dog was also used when the man was arrested, which, according to a police spokesman, bit the 52-year-old and slightly injured him. The man was taken to a hospital for medical treatment. It wasn’t until the arrest that it turned out that the weapon was a blank pistol. In addition, the man in the restaurant destroyed parts of the facility and tried to start a fire in the kitchen.
