The excitement was already great before the festival in Angoulême had even started. The whole thing had nothing to do with the anniversary, which is the 50th edition this year. the polemique relaxed with the artist Bastien Vivès, who was actually supposed to be honored with a large exhibition at this year’s comic festival. The problem: Vivès not only draws sophisticated graphic novels, but also comics in which a small boy with an oversized penis has sex with adults and in which a girl with oversized breasts is raped.
