The driver of the car who was killed, as well as her three passengers, in an accident Monday evening on a departmental in Roye (Sum), had a blood alcohol level of 2.52 grams per liter of blood, the Amiens prosecutor’s office said on Friday.

This accident, which occurred on the RD930, involving a car and a tank truck carrying 24 tonnes of vinyl acetate, resulted in the death of four people belonging to the same family: the driver, aged 51, her two sons, 18 and 7, and her 18-year-old daughter-in-law, the prosecution said in a statement.

The examination of the tachograph of the truck, which records in particular the speed and the driving time, “made it possible to establish that the truck rolled in its axis while respecting the speed limits” and “no human testimony evokes a dangerous driving on his part ”, he added, specifying that an“ expertise in accidentology ”was in progress.
