World Champion Max Verstappen secured the best time of the day for the Formula 1 finale in Abu Dhabi.

World Champion Max Verstappen secured the best time of the day for the Formula 1 finale in Abu Dhabi.

The Red Bull driver relegated Mercedes driver George Russell to second place at the Yas Marina Circuit with a time of 1:25.146 minutes. Third under the floodlights was Charles Leclerc in the Ferrari ahead of record world champion Lewis Hamilton in the second Mercedes, who had set the best time in the first practice session.

Sebastian Vettel had to settle for twelfth place in the penultimate training session of his Formula 1 career. The Aston Martin driver drives his last race on Sunday. After his retirement from Haas, which was announced at the end of the season, Mick Schumacher finished 17th ahead of teammate Kevin Magnussen.
