For its twentieth, the Culture Bar-Bars festival will wake up the bistros

In big cities and some very small towns. For its 20th edition, the Culture Bar-bars festival will give voice. The event, launched in the 1990s to promote the “vitality” and “cultural diversity” of café-concerts, celebrates its return for three days from this Thursday evening. In total, 600 shows and events, most often concerts, will take place in more than 200 bars in around sixty French cities, from Lille to Toulouse, Rennes, Paris, Brest and Angers.

In Nantes too, epicenter of this popular festival, where the program will be the most extensive with nearly a hundred bars and clubs involved. Some famous artists, like Rubin SteinerMatt Elliott, La Poison, Kalash or even McFly & Carlitowill be part of the city of the dukes.

The festival, which claims to be the second national cultural event after the Fête de la musique, is once again taking place in a particular context since many establishments, put in difficulty by the health crisis, have been forced to lower the curtain in recent months.

Pillars of cultural diversity, culture cafés are an essential link in the musical chain.
