Third day of Soccer World Cup in Qatar!
After with England and the Netherlands, two of the “big” nations started the World Cup yesterday is today Argentina with superstar Lionel Messi (35) in the series. The South Americans score in the first game of the Group C at 11 am in Saudi Arabia. The game will be played in front of 80,000 spectators at the Lusail Iconic Stadium. BILD explains why you CANNOT see the game on free TV today.
It is the last World Cup for one of the best footballers of all time. Lionel Messi, the six-time world footballer, has already announced before the tournament in Qatar that this will be his last World Cup. “This is a special moment, the last chance to make my dream and our dream come true,” says La Pulga (Spanish: “The Flea”) before the start against Saudi Arabia.
And the South Americans, who won the Copa América last year, are among the big favorites for the World Cup title. The Argentines haven’t lost in 36 games. The last defeat was more than three (!) years ago. In July 2019, they lost 2-0 to nemesis Brazil in the semi-finals of the Copa America.
