The special dinner is served in the so-called Pink Dining Room at Dumfries House. This is also where the king usually takes his evening meals when he is in the Scottish mansion in Ayrshire. The Pink Dining Room is decorated with pink Rococo stucco on the walls and ceiling.

During the candlelit dinner experience, a classic British butler serves a three-course meal. The dishes are in the style of the 18th century. For example, poached salmon, fish soup or roast venison and beef as well as Parmesan potatoes end up on the plates.

The King’s Foundation acquired the historic Dumfries House, built in the 1750s, in 2007 with the intention of preserving it and opening it to the public. Much of the furnishings in the spacious house date back to the 18th century and are in their original condition. This includes numerous extremely valuable pieces of Chippendale furniture.
