First responders save women from fire – Bavaria

A little later, both cars went up in flames: first responders probably saved the lives of two women after a head-on accident in Swabia. A 25-year-old woman drove her car near Neuburg an der Kammel (Günzburg district) into the oncoming lane in a curve on Friday, a police spokesman said. Her vehicle then collided head-on with the car of a 58-year-old woman.

The first responders pulled the two women out of their cars, the police said. The 25-year-old driver suffered life-threatening injuries in the collision, the other woman suffered serious injuries. Both were taken to a hospital by helicopter. The police are now looking for the rescuers and witnesses, as they left the scene of the accident before the officers arrived. At the scene of the accident, 50 firefighters extinguished the cars – the B 16 was temporarily closed.
