The night from Thursday to Friday was eventful to say the least in the Pontanézen district in Brest. At the end of the evening, the firefighters of Finistère were called upon to set up car fires at the foot of buildings. When they got there, they managed to put out two fires but quickly had to turn back. Several dozen young men have indeed expressed hostility to the presence of the firefighters, reports West France.

The individuals set off dissuasive mortar fire and even banged on the body of emergency vehicles until they left. The police also approached but preferred to move away so as not to aggravate a tense situation.

No one was hurt.
