A fire broke out on Tuesday on the grounds of the Karls Erlebnis-Dorf amusement park in Elstal near Wustermark (Havelland district). According to the district fire chief, three people suspected of smoke poisoning are being treated in the Nauen hospital.
A spokesman for the local fire department spoke of a large operation. Several buildings were on fire – the emergency services are currently trying to limit the fire. A total of 54 emergency services with 19 vehicles are on site.
More than 200 visitors have gathered in the parking lot in front of the courtyard.
Fire is said to have broken out in the sales room
According to information from an rbb reporter on site, it should first have burned in a sales room. It was also said that not all sheep could have been saved from an adjacent stable. A high column of smoke could be seen in pictures on social media.
As the police informed the rbb, the ascent and descent of the B5 in the area around Karl’s adventure village is blocked. It is a mixture of farm shop, factory, restaurant and fairground rides. The company operates four similar farms in northern Germany.
