The task in the little online game was simple, the goal clear: Applicants for a job at Unilever should collect as much money as possible by clicking on virtual balloons. Each click increases the money but also inflates the balloons. They burst if they are inflated too much. What the applicants didn’t know was that it wasn’t about the money. It’s about how willing to take risks applicants are. Because if you don’t dare to do anything or risk too much, you probably wouldn’t be a good candidate for the job on offer.
