Financial aid: 1.3 million euros for Markt Schwaben – Ebersberg

The market town of Markt Schwaben will receive stabilization aid in the amount of 1.3 million euros from the Free State for 2022. Bavaria’s Finance Minister Albert Füracker (CSU) announced this on Friday at the meeting of the distribution committee with the municipal umbrella organizations and representatives of the interior and finance ministries. A total of 119 towns, markets and municipalities in Bavaria are benefiting from the funds from the Free State – but no other municipality in Upper Bavaria is receiving stabilization aid this year.

The fact that the market community is once again given such generous consideration, as in previous years, has to do with the very difficult financial situation there. Among other things, the urgently needed new construction of the school center is a heavy burden on Swabia’s market budget. The Ebersberg member of parliament Thomas Huber (CSU), who according to his own statements had repeatedly mediated between the Ministry of Finance and the market community regarding the stabilization aid for Markt Schwaben, was pleased in a press release: “The stabilization aid is incredibly important for Markt Schwaben. They give the Administration the necessary planning security for the coming year and contribute to the market community being able to maintain many offers for the citizens.”

Despite the tense budgetary situation, the Free State remains a reliable partner for the municipalities, according to Huber: “The stabilization aids ensure that the market community can continue to fulfill its public service tasks in the best possible way and invest in the future.”
