She is still a child and has already won a Silver Bear: Sofía Otero is honored at the Berlinale for her performance in “20,000 especies de abejas”.

According to the film festival, the young actress Sofía Otero is the youngest winner in the history of the Berlinale. The eight-year-old won a Silver Bear for Best Performance in a Leading Role.

In the film “20,000 especies de abejas” (“20,000 Species of Bees”) she plays an eight-year-old child who is searching for his gender identity. The award ceremony marked the conclusion of the 73rd edition of the film festival.
