Fifth big crystal globe for Mikaela Shiffrin after a crazy season

Unplayable. The American Mikaela Shiffrin is guaranteed to win the general classification of the Alpine Skiing World Cup for the fifth time, after Saturday’s downhill in Kvitfjell (Norway), rewarding a crazy season.

There are still seven races left on the world circuit program – a maximum of 700 points to be won – but, ahead of the Swiss Lara Gut-Behrami in Saturday’s downhill in Kvitfjell (Norway), Shiffrin, who has more than 790 points in advance, is now certain to raise the large crystal globe after the finals in Andorra on 19 March. Respect.
