According to English media reports, Fifa boss Gianni Infantino (52) is aiming to change the World Cup cycle from a four to a three-year cycle.
A World Cup every three years?
As the “Daily Mail” and “Guardian” unanimously report, Infantino is working behind the scenes on a revolution from the year 2030.
Some kind of compromise for Infantino’s two-year plan, which has been severely criticized and thrown overboard?
In 2021, the mega-revolution met with massive resistance, especially from the league bosses from Europe. There were even threats of leaving FIFA. So now the new proposal, which could apply from 2030.
