If you were to tear this sentence out of its context, you could tell an adventurous story about FC Bayern. After the 3-1 win at SpVgg Greuther Fürth, Thomas Müller said that Bayern had to be careful not to “lose touch”. This sentence is of course an invitation to all journalists who are officially called upon to take sentences out of context. So you could now make a sensational story that describes the state of alarm at FC Bayern. Müller’s warning you could overwrite it in capital letters and then bring the arguments. So Bayern are in danger of being left behind because … because … yes, why actually? After some thought, one would come to the conclusion: Unfortunately, the story doesn’t work after all.
Here comes what Thomas Müller really said in context: “We are satisfied with the way things are going, but we mustn’t lose touch with taking the next step. That’s what it’s about, and that’s what is most fun, this one Improving ourselves. We must not lose touch with our own development. “
These sentences are too long for a headline, but you have to acknowledge that they are among the best sentences that you can currently find on the market about FC Bayern. Can it be that you are absurdly superior again, but keep playing bad passes every now and then?
