Fattah Entry Body – Mullah regime unveils first Iranian hypersonic weapon

Iran has built its own hypersonic weapon. The Fattah entry body is said to reach 14 times the speed of sound and be a “true” hypersonic weapon with high maneuverability. That would hardly stop her. Iran could use the weapon to attack targets in Israel.
Iran continues to build up its missile arsenal. According to the official IRNA news agency, the Islamic Republic’s first hypersonic ballistic missile has been unveiled. The ceremony was attended by President Ebrahim Rahisi and commanders of the Revolutionary Guards.
“The precision-guided Fattah hypersonic missile has a range of 1,400 km and is capable of penetrating all defense shields,” said Amirali Hajizadeh, chief of the Guard’s aerospace force. The Fattah rocket – in English the “conqueror” – is to reach 14 times the speed of sound. State television announced that it “can attack the enemy’s advanced missile defense systems and represents a major generational leap in the field of missiles.”
Faster than defense
Hypersonic weapons are said to be impossible to intercept. That is not right. However, the speed alone makes it very difficult. It greatly reduces the area of effect of a defensive battery, squeezing it into a flat lens. Simply put, if the hypersonic weapon moves towards them, the defenses can intervene. When passing in a tangent, the effective range shrinks sharply, the weapon moves away from the defensive position, it becomes impossible to intercept the missile. Even if the hypersonic missile can be intercepted, it will be much more difficult to protect larger areas from it.
More than just a fast rocket
There is still the question of how maneuverable the rocket is. The Russian Kinzhal missile can change course only to a small extent. This also makes it more difficult to intercept them because the pure parabola of their orbit gets “dents”. “Real” hypersonic weapons, on the other hand, are highly manoeuvrable, in fact they are almost impossible to intercept.

Apparently, Fattah is a sophisticated system and far more than a modified ballistic missile like the Kinshah. The Fatah entry body is mounted on a medium-range ballistic missile that launches the head into the atmosphere. The Fatah glider is said to be able to maneuver and thus evade the air defense systems. The Fatah warhead was unveiled days after Iran unveiled a long-range ballistic missile with a range of 2,000 kilometers and a 1,550-kilogram warhead.
