Faced with eco-anxiety, vintage clothing plays nurses

From the 1960s to the 1980s, a trip back in time is guaranteed, just by observing its wardrobe. “Here, it’s a sweater that dates from the end of the 1960s, beginning of the 1970s with a knit that is super fine,” explains Anna, belt in hand. After studying fashion, textiles and design, this young founder of a vintage brand was struck by a crisis of eco-anxiety. The Parisian who dreamed of being a fashion designer had to review her roadmap, imagining an eco-responsible brand. “Rather than producing and using new resources, I thought I could use the ones that already exist,” says Anna. Although she is only 23 years old, the committed vintage brand Ogre eventually emerge.

For the past year, in her Parisian apartment, Anna has been cleaning and repairing pieces one by one, found in flea markets, private homes or in association shops in France. Attached to inclusive fashion, the young woman also offers a maximum of sizes “they range from 30 to 60”. Currently, the young founder of the brand has a stock of more than 700 pieces ready for sale.
