Facebook – technical malfunction again – economy

For the second time, Facebook struggled with technical problems within just a week. Some users could not reach the group’s apps and services on Friday evening, as Facebook admitted on Twitter. The fault was resolved after about two hours. With platforms like Downdetector, users again reported problems with the entire range of Facebook apps: with the online network itself, the chat services Whatsapp and Messenger, and the Instagram photo platform. Last Monday, in an unprecedented outage, all Facebook services went offline for around six hours. Facebook explained the malfunction with a configuration error. The extent of the restrictions was significantly less on Friday and the services were not disrupted for everyone.
