“Sculptor Friends” is the name of the exhibition currently being shown in the old post office in Triftern (Rottal-Inn district). On display are figurative works by three artists who met in Berlin. Hans Wimmer (1907-1992), among other things the creator of the famous Wimmer horse, came from Pfarrkirchen. He was friends with Gerhard Marcks (1889-1981), who taught at the State Bauhaus in Weimar in the 1920s. 90-year-old Helmut Heinze now lives in Dresden. One thing the sculptors have in common is their reference to antiquity. Due to the great interest, the exhibition will be extended. Opening times: Saturday, October 29 and Sunday, October 30, Monday, October 31, and All Saints’ Day, November 1, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
