Evergrande – executives give money back – economy

Six executives of the ailing Chinese real estate company Evergrande have returned funds from early buybacks of investment products, according to the company. As the group announced in a statement on Saturday, the high-ranking employees made redemptions of a total of twelve financial assets between May 1 and September 7, 2021. In the meantime, however, all funds have been repaid in full by this Friday. Penalties were imposed and the six people responsible were brought to justice, according to the company. Evergrande did not provide any details about the identity of the executives or the nature of the financial products. The second largest Chinese real estate developer has more than $ 300 billion in debt.
