European Football Championship in Munich: Seven Danish fans set off pyrotechnics in the main train station – Arrest – Munich

The federal police have temporarily taken seven Danish football fans into custody at the main train station. They set off several fireworks on platform 15 at around 7:40 p.m. on Saturday evening, the federal police reported.

The men, aged between 32 and 39, had apparently travelled to the European Championship match between the Danish national team and Serbia, which is taking place in Munich on Tuesday. Police searched the men and found 43 pyrotechnic items, some of which had already been set off.

Because carrying dangerous objects is prohibited in the main station until July 15, the police issued the men with a threat of a fine, with the message: Next time it could be really expensive.

According to the federal police, several bags containing small amounts of cocaine were also found on a 35-year-old man from the group. The man had to pay a security deposit of 2,500 euros, a kind of provisional fine.
