Out injured in the right knee against Belgium Thursday (2-1), after less than a quarter of an hour of play, Marie-Antoinette Katoto will not play again before the end of the Euro. The examinations taken this Friday at the start of the afternoon by the Blue striker n°1 revealed a crack in the meniscus and a rupture of the anterior lateral ligament.
Katoto, who scored 26 goals in 32 caps with the France team, was expected as one of the stars of the competition. The loss is huge for Corinne Deacon’s team, but also for PSG, while the striker should be out for several months. The striker extended her contract in Paris until 2025, on July 1, after long weeks of hesitation over her future.
