Who is going to Turin for Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022? The fans decide that. The online voting has started and is running on the ARD Popwellen website.
There are six acts to choose from German ESC expert jury selected from all applications: Emily Roberts, eros atomus, Felicia Lu, Maël & Jonas, Malik Harris and Nico Suave & Team Liebe.
Vote online at your radio station
The vote is online on the pages of the nine participating ARD radio stations until the ARD ESC day on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 8 p.m possible. These are Antenne Brandenburg, BAYERN 3, Bremen Vier, hr3, MDR Jump, NDR 2, SR 1, SWR3 and WDR 2. For the first time, these are an integral part of the selection process for the German preliminary round.

Online vote counts 50 percent
The online voting result accounts for 50 percent of the decision. The ARD ESC day ends with the show “Germany 12 Points – the German ESC preliminary decision”. The program will be broadcast live from Berlin on March 4th from 8.15 p.m. on our live stream, in all third programs of ARD, on ONE and in the ARD media library. In the show, radio wave presenters present the results of the online voting from their broadcasting areas. Also present are: Marcus Asmus and Anneli Rienecker (Antenna Brandenburg), Katja Wunderlich (BAYERN 3), Malte Janssen (Bremen Vier), Tobi Kämmerer (hr3), Sarah von Neuburg and Lars-Christian Karde (MDR Jump), Elke Wiswedel and Jens Mahrhold (NDR 2), Daniel Simarro (SR 1), Constantin Zöller (SWR3) and Jan Malte Andresen (WDR 2).
Voting by phone and SMS
The other 50 percent of the vote comes from the viewers of the show. They can vote for their favorites by phone and SMS. Moderator Barbara Schöneberger announces the end result at the end of “Germany 12 Points – the German ESC preliminary decision”.
