Michaela Wawerla has been a judge at the district court in Erding for more than ten years. A conversation about truth, compassion and which processes are the most difficult for them.

Michaela Wawerla has been a judge at the district court in Erding since 2008. The 48-year-old is one of the “veterans” there, she is the longest-serving judge of the current 20 judges. On February 1, she will move to the Landshut District Court and become the presiding judge of the youth chamber. Up to 300 criminal cases per year ended up on her desk. Wawerla grew up in Dorfen and lives in Erding. She studied in Passau and then worked for the public prosecutor in Landshut for five years. After two years at the Freising district court, she came to Erding in 2008.
