Police Uncover Connection Between Michaël and Fred
At the hospital, Christelle successfully negotiated with social services to delay Romane’s removal. Consequently, Victoire arranged a cozy space in the break room, ensuring Romane had everything she needed for a good night’s sleep and some activities to keep her occupied.
Meanwhile, at the police station, Georges receives a copy of the investigation file concerning Lorena Lecomte, revealing that Michaël had previously worked on the case. Martin and Georges approach Michaël for insights, but he clarifies that his involvement lasted only a week before he was reassigned to another urgent case. Nevertheless, he offers his assistance for the ongoing investigation, which Martin declines, stating that the team is already sufficient.
Later, Martin attempts to reach out to Michaël’s former supervisor, only to find out he has retired. In the meantime, Roxane and Timothée discover no recent bank transactions or phone activity linked to Fred since last Tuesday, prompting them to analyze surveillance footage for clues. The police are particularly interested in uncovering Fred’s reasons for coming to Sète and who he met during his visit.
As the investigation intensifies, the police arrange to search Fred’s hotel room, while Aurore and Nordine are tasked with canvassing the neighborhood. Martin takes it a step further by contacting Lorena Lecomte in her Rennes prison cell, where she expresses shock upon learning about her brother’s disappearance and was unaware of his trip to Sète. She emphasizes that Fred would never have entrusted Romane to anyone unless he felt genuinely threatened.
Later in the evening, Aurore and Nordine continue their inquiries with local shopkeepers and pedestrians about Fred Lecomte. They stop by the Little Spoon, showing a photo of Fred to Valentine, who recalls seeing him last Monday engaged in a heated argument with a police officer. When Aurore presents a photo of Michaël, Valentine confirms that it was indeed him she had seen…
François Rescues the Choir Rehearsals
At the bustling Christmas market, Alex discovers a charming second-hand dress at Violette’s stall, deciding to purchase it for his wife, along with a stylish bag and bracelet. He also picks up a book for Céleste.
Shortly after, Philippine steps in to take over Violette’s stall so that she can attend choir rehearsals. At school, she encounters Bastien and Mélody, where she learns that her son has gotten braids to impress a girl, not to emulate her style.
Eventually, François joins the choir for their rehearsals but quickly notices that the piano is out of order. He proposes that they hold their practice at his house, where his brand new piano awaits.
Upon arrival, Mélody and Bastien are the first to show up. As François settles in at the piano, Soizic has to leave due to a scheduling conflict but permits the choir to continue their practice.
Later that evening at the Christmas market, Victor purchases a sweater for Timothée from the association’s stand. He uses the moment to check in with Philippine about Charles, to which she responds that her son is managing but expresses concern about him being alone during the holiday season. Victor requests that she pass on his regards when she sees him next.
Meanwhile, at the Spoon, Alex presents his gifts to Chloé. She humorously points out that he bought her the same dress he gifted her two years ago, which she had donated to the association after it shrank. Although Alex feels embarrassed, Chloé is thrilled with the bag and bracelet he chose for her.
Raphaëlle Steps Up to Defend Agnès
Raphaëlle arranges to meet Agnès Prado in the visiting room to inform her that she will be taking over her defense from Soraya. The lawyer plans to argue a case of self-defense against Zack. Agnès, touched by Raphaëlle’s commitment, offers an apology, which Raphaëlle graciously accepts, acknowledging that Agnès’s actions ultimately saved her life from Zack’s poisoning attempt.
Meanwhile, Camille is out shopping to prepare dinner and confides in her sister that she is determined to take charge of her life and make their mother proud. Later that evening, Raphaëlle returns home, moved by her daughter’s gesture of cooking Sébastien’s pot-au-feu using her recipe.
