Is your child going to be able to take the mask off at school next Monday? The list of 47 departments where schoolchildren will no longer be required to wear a piece of cloth on their nose and mouth in class was unveiled this Thursday by the government in the Official Journal. These are the areas where the Covid-19 virus circulates the least, namely below the threshold of the incidence rate of 50 cases per day per 100,000 inhabitants. The measure previously announced by Jean-Michel Blanquer will apply to elementary school students, from CP to CM2.
The departments concerned are (in alphabetical order): Aisne, Allier, Ardennes, Aveyron, Calvados, Cantal, Charente-Maritime, Corrèze, Côte-d’Or, Côtes-d ‘Armor, Creuse, Deux-Sèvres, Dordogne, Eure, Finistère, Gers, Haute-Loire, Haute-Marne, Haute-Saône, Indre, Indre-et-Loire , Isère, Landes, Loir-et-Cher, Loire, Loire-Atlantique, Loiret, Lozère, Maine-et-Loire, Manche, Marne, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Meuse, Morbihan, Nièvre, Orne, Pas-de-Calais, Saône-et-Loire, Sarthe, Seine-Maritime, Somme, Tarn, Tarn-et-Garonne, Vendée, Vienne, Vosges, Yonne.
