Panathinaikos winger Spyros Tzavidas has retired at the age of 20 due to health problems.

“I didn’t expect it, but the time has come to leave the football field after 14 years – at least as a professional player,” Tzavidas, who has two caps for Greece’s U19s, began his statement.
“The decision to leave the pitch is based on a health issue, which doesn’t affect me negatively off the pitch,” Tzavidas continued, without wanting to go into too much detail.
Tzavidas will remain in the football world after the end of his career
Nevertheless, he wanted to stay in football with “great joy and hunger from a different position and try to convey that nothing should be taken for granted, that we should work every day not to be disappointed and do everything we can to achieve our goals to make dreams come true.”
Tzavidas, who played a total of four games for the Panathinaikos pros and mostly played in the U19s, is “grateful that I’ve lived this journey and that I’m ready and strong for new adventures. Thanks for everything!!!”
