Emmanuel Macron is expected this Friday morning at the Center Hospitalier Sud Francilien in Corbeil-Essonnes to present his wishes to the world of health. In particular, he will meet the teams of the pediatric service who, like everywhere in France, are currently having to deal with the triple epidemic: Covid-19flu and bronchiolitis. The Head of State should take advantage of his wishes to launch the vast project of refounding the hospital.
A first in six years
“There are requests that exist and which have their share of legitimacy and which must be heard. There is also a situation that we all have to face and a collective responsibility so that our compatriots have caregivers”, he said. -he declares. This is the first time in six years that Emmanuel Macron has dedicated a speech to health professionals on the occasion of the new year. According to the Élysée, he will return to the actions taken, the challenges to be met and the work to be carried out to rebuild the system.
If nothing has yet filtered, the entourage of the President promises important announcements, which this intern in the seventh year of medicine hopes for: “We do not believe in miracles but we want the breakage to be limited and to be able to plan several years from now, keep this public service which is suffering and which could unfortunately disappear one day.”
Caregivers expect strong measures
The Head of State could in particular reveal part of the health plan on which his Minister of Health is working, Francois Braun. Overwhelmed emergencies, shortage of doctors, strike of liberal practitioners, medical deserts, or even crisis of vocations… There is no shortage of grievances and caregivers are waiting for strong measures.
All the difficulty for Emmanuel Macron is that several tens of billions of euros have already been spent within the framework of the Ségur de la santé and that despite everything, the professionals continue to explain that it is a patch.
