The fourth season of “Emily in Paris” is eagerly awaited. Lead actress Lily Collins has now revealed details about the continuation of the Netflix hit at an event.

The Netflix series “Emily in Paris” starring Lily Collins is still enjoying great success. In 2020 it was the most watched comedy series on the streaming portal. In the first four weeks, 58 million households in 93 countries watched the first season of the series, which was conceived by “Sex and The City” creator Darren Star. And the other seasons all ended up at number 1 in the Netflix charts for weeks.

Lily Collins Reveals ‘Emily in Paris’ Will Become ‘Emily in Rome’

So it’s no wonder that fans of the series have been eagerly awaiting the continuation of the streaming hit since the end of the third season in December last year. While Season 4’s release date hasn’t been announced yet, numerous cliffhangers suggest the sequel will be full of twists and drama. Lead actress Lily Collins has now given first insights into the plot at the Netflix event “Tudum”. And they sound promising. If you believe what Collins says, “Emily in Paris” could become something like “Emily in Rome” in season 4, at least temporarily.

“Although Emily’s heart will always be Paris, her life will take unexpected turns this season,” the 34-year-old teased in a video at the event. “Don’t be surprised if she goes on a Roman vacation.” The fact that Emily is vacationing with Gabriel in the Italian “City of True Love” of all places in the fourth season makes wild assumptions about the further course of the plot more and more likely.

Season 4 begins with numerous questions

And the list of unanswered questions is long: Emily decides after the wedding disaster at the end of the third season – Camille had confronted Gabriel in front of the altar with his feelings for Emily and then left him – but for her heart and her love for Gabriel ? Or does she do everything to win back Alfie – he also left Emily in the church after the scandal? Does she accept the challenge of entering into a relationship with Gabriel, even though he soon revealed to her that Camille is pregnant by him? And above all: Will she decide to stay in Europe and finally turn her back on Chicago?

But that’s not all: “We made the end of the last season very dramatic and – surprise – the drama doesn’t end now,” announces the actress. “There are many questions that still need to be clarified,” she says. “Is Alfie’s heart still broken? Will Gabriel get a Michelin star? Will Mindy go to the Eurovision Song Contest with her band? Will Sylvie’s warmed-up love last? And the most important question that burns under our nails: Will Emily and Gabriel finally be together?”

Last but not least, Emily must decide if what she always wanted — Paris — is really what she needs, says Collins. “We have more fun more fashion And of course more drama in the luggage for you!” But that’s it for the insights. So it’s probably time to keep your feet still and eagerly await further teasers for Season 4.
