Shots were fired in Hagen. Police say several people were injured at two crime scenes.
After shots were fired at two locations in According to police reports, one of the perpetrators in Hagen is on the run. The police announced on the X platform that they are searching for him as intensively as possible. However, a spokesman for the leading police in Dortmund did not rule out the possibility that there could be several perpetrators when asked by dpa.
According to police, several people were injured by the shooting. However, the exact number cannot yet be determined.
In response to a request from dpa, the Hagen police confirmed initial media reports that one of the crime scenes was a hairdressing salon in the Eilpe district. Emergency services were on site in large numbers. The Dortmund police had taken over the command of the operation and set up a team, it said.
The police confirmed that people were injured – but an exact number was not initially known. According to the “Westfalen Post”, a rescue helicopter landed near the crime scene. On Platform X, the Hagen police announced that, according to initial “findings … the background to the incident could lie in the family environment”. The police cordoned off a large area around the incident sites.
