The situation is not improving in the adult and pediatric emergencies of the Nantes University Hospital, faced with intense activity in recent weeks. So much so that the management of the hospital announced Thursday evening that it had triggered the white plan, a device which makes it possible to “reorganize the supply of care” at the hospital, to “reallocate resources with regard to the priorities identified”.
Because despite the implementation of reinforcements, the tensions in the service, on strike a month ago, persist. “These difficulties are increased by the context of the bronchiolitis epidemic, with a very large and growing number of hospitalizations of very young children”, indicates the Nantes University Hospital.
As during the Covid crisis, the ban on visits – with the exception of the dad – has been reactivated in the territory’s maternity services. Objective: “to protect newborns from the winter viruses currently very present”.
