Around 100 emergency services, an evacuated train, closed railway lines and interruptions in shipping: an emergency paralyzed parts of the Main metropolis at the beginning of the week.

Because of a person in danger of falling, there was a large-scale operation in Frankfurt, in which 450 people were evacuated from an ICE. The person was on the Main-Neckar Bridge in the railway system yesterday afternoon, as the fire brigade announced during the night. In addition to emergency services on the ground, water rescue units were also called in. The long-distance railway lines on the bridge and the trams under the bridge were closed. Shipping on the Main was also interrupted.

An ICE that could no longer be air-conditioned after the power was switched off was parked in a closed track area and had to be cleared. The emergency services accompanied the approximately 450 passengers across the tracks to the site of the nearby university clinic. The travelers were further transported by buses. In the early evening, shipping on the Main could be continued. According to the police, the person left the area at risk of falling around 1 a.m. under security measures. Around 100 emergency services were on site.
