The Olympic Tower remains closed due to a technical defect. Elevators have not been running since Friday afternoon, repairs are being worked on at full speed, but on Monday a spare part was still missing, as Olympiapark GmbH announced on Twitter. We hope to be able to reopen on Tuesday afternoon.
Restaurant 181, located in the Olympic Tower, had to cancel all reservations at the weekend due to the defective elevators, because no guests could reach the restaurant with the elevator, nor the viewing platforms.
The Olympic Tower is one of the tourist attractions in Munich. From here you can see the Alps from 190 meters above the city. However, it is expected to remain closed for two years from June 2024 due to construction work.
